Pumpkin R does carry some different bloodlines that are very exciting. This is a young mare that does have fabulous conformation and mesmerising movement. The movement is exciting to watch and goes off like a metronome. Her paces are special enough that we would expect everyone at the auction to take particular note of her. A very serious dressage proposition.
The genetics making up Pumpkin R are fascinating. Her father Promise R was a young stallion who had special talents for piaffe and passage. Her grandfather, Prestige, is on the Australian Grand Prix Dressage Elite List for the World Equestrian Games in France next year. Her great grandfather, Silvano N, represented Holland at the Sydney 2000 Olympics in the Dutch Dressage Team.
On the dam’s side of Promise R is Flemmingh who is a superstar Dutch stallion, being the sire of Anky Van Grunsven’s Krack C and also Edward Gal’s World Cup winner Lingh.
Equally exciting on Pumpkin R’s dam side is Slinky R who is by Salute. Salute would be the most influential sire of Olympic horses in Australia today. The grand dam, Lynx, is a full sister to Londoner who was Australia Prix St George and Intermediate I champion as a six-year-old. Londoner went on to do Grand Prix with Mary Hanna and won the Trans-Tasman tour of New Zealand. Pumpkin R is something out of the box.
